What the file scanner reports
ATROXIS sends eligible file scans to VirusTotal and displays the returned analysis status, detection summary, flagged engines and available file metadata. Analysis may take time; queued or incomplete results are not final verdicts.
- Multi-engine malicious and suspicious detection counts.
- File identifiers and metadata when available.
- Links to the corresponding VirusTotal analysis where provided.
Important privacy considerations
Do not upload confidential, personal, proprietary or otherwise sensitive files. Files submitted to VirusTotal may be shared with its security partners according to its terms and policies. ATROXIS file scanning requires a configured VirusTotal integration and is subject to upstream availability and rate limits.
Interpreting detections
Detection results are opinions from participating security engines and can include false positives or miss new malware. No detections do not prove a file is safe. Use trusted endpoint protection and your organization’s incident-response process for important decisions.
